25 September 2008: REAGENT FEMA Award Success

Sydney and Brisbane based recruitment communications agency ReAgent is celebrating a little more than its first birthday this year having scooped three awards at the prestigious 2008 Fairfax Employment Marketing Awards (FEMA) (19 September 2008.

The aim of FEMA is to recognise and reward creative and effective employment advertising and excellence in the field of recruitment. And ReAgent's work for global powerhouse IBM was quick to catch the judging panel’s eyes as the graduate campaign took top honours in three categories:

  • Best Corporate Careers Website
  • Best Creative/Most Innovative Campaign
  • Best Integrated Campaign

Mike Beeley, CEO of ReAgent was on hand at the glittering awards ceremony at Doltone House in Sydney and was delighted with his team's success:

"I'm so proud of the ReAgent team and our clients - our team for sticking to what they know is right, and our clients for having the foresight and faith to trust in our judgement. It's easy in this industry to just slip into a rut and churn out the same old dull vacancy announcements, because that seems to be the norm. It takes guts and a sense of adventure to challenge these norms, and an agency-client relationship that goes beyond the obvious in measuring the impact of innovation.

"In these uncertain economic times, it's fabulous to be in a position to offer our clients something that truly makes them indispensible within their organisations."

Chris Major, A/NZ Staffing Campaign Manager at IBM Australia Limited underlines the impact the all-new graduate campaign has had on the organisation:

"Our 2008 graduate campaign represents a huge step forward for IBM in terms of interactivity and candidate engagement. The effectiveness of our integrated channel strategy and new website to generate record numbers of candidate enquiries has been highlighted right around the global IBM community - and resulted in nothing but positive feedback internally. We've already had enquiries about how to replicate the same results in other countries."

ReAgent was founded in early 2007 by Beeley - a 20-year veteran of the Australian recruitment advertising industry - and Melanie Hirst who has over a dozen years under her belt in the UK and Australian HR Communications sector. The agency now boasts some 35 clients, 16 staff and turnover approaching A$10m, with clients including Deutsche Bank, HBOS Australia, IBM, Transfield Services, Origin Energy, PB, Bechtel, Cement Australia and Leighton International.
